Govt of Pakistan has taken a great initiative of serving the people by providing doorstep service of your new car registration. This is facility is now available for Islamabad only, but hopefully, this will start all over Pakistan.
You will need the following documents
- Original Invoice from car manufacturer
- Sales Certificate from the car manufactuere
- Copy of your ID card which has Islamabad address on it
If you are living in Islamabad on rent, you can still get Islamabad number by following this process
- Copy of Landlord’s ID card
- Affidavit from your landlord confirming that you have been his tenant for x years and he has no issues of using his address for the car registration. Any stamp paper seller has this template.

How does it work?
Once your appointment is booked, the ETO team will come on the given time on a Govt car with a printer, biometric machine, and a laptop. They will ask for documents, get your thumbprint, collect the registration fee, and will provide you with receipts. You will use the receipts to get your number plates from the ETO office and later the smart card.
